“My wife and stayed in a King – partial ocean view room. The view was nice but overlooked several other buildings. We could see a neigbor’s wash hanging on the clothes line. My first – but false impression was the hotel was right on the beach, not a short walk away. The room was an adaquate size, clean, but furniture was clunky and old – and could have used a table upon which to eat a meal – rather than a desk. The pillow-top bed was nice to sleep on or to rest while watching television. The jets in the large jacuzzi tub lacked power and therefore did little for my aching muscles sore from walking in historic areas. We would consider returning – someday. The restaurant – which is a separate business – served a wonderful breakfast – for which the hotel offers daily vouchers at $8.50 per adult. Items on the dinner and lunch menu did not appeal to us and seemed a bit pricy. I’d give it 3.5 stars.”
